“Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.”— Revelation 1:3 (NIV)

“Here I am, Lord.”
There are moments in history when God’s voice cuts through the noise—not with accusation, but with invitation.
From the very beginning of Scripture, God asked a question that still echoes today:
“Adam… where are you?”
Not because God didn’t know where Adam was—but because Adam needed to recognize where he stood.
Hidden.
Distracted.
Ashamed.
Separated.
And yet… still loved.
A Question for Our Time
In these days—filled with division, confusion, outrage, fear, and endless debate—it feels as though we are arguing over surface things while missing the deeper call of God.
We debate appearances. We defend positions. We explain behaviors.
But God is not asking us to explain ourselves.
He is asking us to return.
The books of Daniel and Revelation remind us that in times of shaking, God always calls His people back to the same posture:
Believe.
Surrender.
Obey.
Revelation does not begin with fear—it begins with blessing for those who read, hear, and take to heart God’s Word. The nearness of time is not meant to alarm us, but to awaken us.
Prepared, Not Distracted
Jesus warned that the last days would be marked not only by sin—but by distraction.
This is why He told the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1–13). All were invited. All were waiting. But not all were prepared.
Oil could not be borrowed at the last minute.Readiness could not be rushed.Obedience could not be outsourced.
When the Bridegroom came, only those who were ready entered in.
This is not about fear.It is about faithfulness.
“Here I Am, Lord”
Throughout Scripture, when God called, those who were aligned did not hide.
Samuel, though young and unsure, responded: “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.”
Jesus, though facing suffering, prayed: “Not My will, but Yours be done.”
Surrendered obedience is not weakness. It is clarity.
It is choosing God’s voice over every other voice—especially in uncertain times.
The Foundation of Surrendered Obedience
Before there can be abundance, there must be obedience.
Not obedience rooted in fear or performance—but obedience born of love, trust, and reverence for God.
This is where everything begins:
Not with arguments
Not with appearances
Not with outcomes
But with a heart that says:
“Here I am, Lord.”
This is the foundation upon which Surrendered Obedience is built—and from that foundation flows Surrendered Abundance.
A Moment of Reflection
So today, pause and ask yourself—not defensively, but honestly:
Where am I hiding instead of trusting?
What has distracted me from God’s voice?
If God called my name today… how would I respond?
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,We come before You with humble hearts. Forgive us for the times we have been distracted, defensive, or divided instead of surrendered. Call us out of hiding and into alignment with You.
Teach us to believe You, trust You, surrender fully, and obey without delay. When You ask, “Where are you?” may our hearts be ready to respond:
“Here I am, Lord.”
Fill us with Your Spirit. Prepare us with oil in our lamps. Shape us as a people who walk in obedience, love, and truth—ready for whatever You call us to next.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
A Gentle Invitation
When God calls your name—when He gently asks, “Where are you?”
There is a simple answer that changes everything:
“Here I am, Lord."
