Father, Restore What Has Been Broken or Lost

Updated: Jul 27

— Millicent V. Brown

Even in our brokenness, God sees us and begins the work of restoration.
Even in our brokenness, God sees us and begins the work of restoration.

Today, as I reflect on God’s deliverance, I hear another confirmation echoing in my spirit:

“You’re getting healing from the Divine Therapist. You’re being released from your guilt and shame.” — Bishop Dale C. Bronner

This isn’t just physical healing—it’s emotional and spiritual. It’s the quiet restoration happening in the hidden places of your soul, where only God can reach.

God is loosing you—and me—from every chain. Guilt, shame, fear, hidden habits, and silent tears no longer have the power to keep us bound. We have been released.

And discipline is part of that journey. God calls us to disciplined thoughts, disciplined actions, and a disciplined focus on Him—not on people, not on our own ego, but on Him alone.

So today, pause and ask yourself:

  • What has been broken in my life that I’m longing for God to restore?

  • What relationships need healing or reconciliation?

  • What dreams have I buried because I thought it was too late?

  • Where do I feel empty, depleted, or hopeless?

  • Have I lost my confidence, my joy, my health, my finances, my purpose?

  • Are there wounds from my past that still feel raw and unhealed?

  • Do I live to please God, people, or my ego?

Write it down. Speak it out loud. Pray over it. Hand it to God and declare:

“Father, restore what has been broken or lost in my life. I am worthy of Your healing and new beginnings.”

Remember, broken places do not disqualify you—they’re the very places where God’s restoration shines brightest. Nothing is wasted in His hands. He is the Master Builder who makes all things new.

This is your time of renewal. You are worthy. And so is your house.

Prayer:

Father,

Thank You for loosing me from everything that kept me bound. Now I bring before You every place in my life that feels broken or lost.

Restore my joy where it’s been drained.

Restore my peace where it’s been stolen.

Restore my confidence where it’s been shattered.

Restore relationships according to Your will.

Restore my health, my finances, my purpose, and my hope.

Heal what has felt irreparable. Redeem what the enemy tried to destroy.

Help me to trust that You can rebuild even the places I thought were permanently ruined. Remind me that You are the Master Builder, and nothing is impossible for You.

I believe that in Your hands, nothing is wasted. You can take every fragment of my past and craft it into something beautiful for my future.

Father, restore what has been broken or lost. Make all things new.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Affirmation:

God is restoring everything that has been broken or lost. I am worthy of healing, wholeness, and new beginnings.

Closing Encouragement

Beloved, your healing is happening. Your restoration is unfolding. Even if you can’t see it all yet, trust that God—the Divine Therapist, the Master Builder—is working behind the scenes. Let Him restore every place that has felt broken, hidden, or lost. You are worthy. And so is your house.

Trust God even when you can’t trace Him. Know that He’s always there, never forsaking or leaving you. God is Faithful and True to His Word—written or spoken. He is not a man who should lie, and He said: You Are Worthy!

Even as I thank God for restoration, I realize something deeper: God doesn’t simply wait for me to come to Him. He actively searches for me when I’m lost, unseen, or hidden. Just like the woman who swept her house for the lost coin, the shepherd who left the ninety-nine, and the father who ran to embrace the prodigal son—our God is a Seeker of what’s valuable. And that includes you. And me. That’s where our journey continues…

Gratitude flows when God restores what was lost or broken.
