I Am Worthy… And So Is My House

On this day of freedom, my heart whispers a truth that took me years to believe: I am worthy… because God loves me, and He says so.
There was a time I stood in front of the mirror, tears streaming down my face. My voice was silent, but my soul was crying out—not selfishly asking “What about me?” but pleading:
“Lord… fill me up. Let me feel Your presence in the places where I feel empty, unseen, and alone.”
Though I never spoke the words out loud, the Lord heard the silent voice behind my tears. And He whispered back:
“You are worthy… especially to Me. I love you with an everlasting love.”
As For Me and My House…
Years ago, before we closed on our home, God instructed me to declare His Word over the threshold. In my trunk was a beautiful window sign that read:
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15
When we closed on our house, I mounted that sign on the brick at the front door—a visible banner proclaiming God’s presence over our home.
Then one day, a newspaper carrier threw a paper and shattered it.
I was heartbroken. It felt like the enemy was trying to break what God had ordained. Yet God gently reminded me:
“My Word cannot be broken—even if the sign falls.”
Though the glass shattered, the truth it carried still lives on. Another sign now rests in our guest room, quietly declaring the same promise over our house.
The House Within
As I’ve reflected deeper, I realize that “As for me and my house” isn’t just about bricks and walls—it’s about this house—my body, my mind, my spirit.
This house is where God dwells. And the truth is:
God loves me enough to make His home within me.
Even when I feel empty, He asks me, like Elisha asked the widow in 2 Kings 4:
“What do you have in your house?”
And I’m learning that even a small jar of oil—the gifts, the faith, the spark of hope He placed within me—is enough for Him to multiply.
My tears weren’t just pain. They were sacred prayers. My emptiness wasn’t failure. It was space for Him to fill.My house—my inner house—is a divine filling station where God’s Spirit, love, and joy dwell.
Paid In Full
The enemy tries to be a bill collector, demanding payment for my past mistakes, shame, and unworthiness. But what the enemy refuses to admit is this:
✅ My debt has already been paid.
It was paid when a child was born in Bethlehem… when that child, Jesus, sacrificed His life for me… when His precious blood was shed on the cross… when He was buried but rose again, proclaiming:
“It is finished.”
Jesus is my Kinsman Redeemer. My Lord, My Savior, My Brother who paid my price out of pure, unfathomable love. Because of Him:
✅ My house is redeemed.
✅ My life is worthy.
✅ My debt is paid in full.
✅ I am free to live in the joy of the Lord.
Love, Deliverance, Restoration, Peace, and Joy
In the Old Testament, a kinsman redeemer was a close relative with the right to buy back a family member from slavery, restore family land, or protect the family’s future. Jesus became my Brother by taking on flesh and blood so He could stand in my place, pay my debt, and bring me into His Father’s house.
As Hebrews 2:11 declares:“For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all of one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren.”
Today, I declare:
• Love that anchors my worth and identity, poured out through Jesus Christ.
• Deliverance from everything that tried to break me or silence my worth.
• Restoration of everything lost, broken, or delayed—even shattered signs and silent prayers.
• Peace in my mind, my home, my marriage, my body, and my calling.• Joy that overflows from God’s presence dwelling within me.
Freedom isn’t just about fireworks—it’s knowing deep in my soul:
“I am worthy. My house is worthy. And God will keep supplying as I keep pouring.”
Even though the sign outside my house was broken, the declaration remains unshakable:
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Prayer
Lord,Thank You for loving me so much that You sent Jesus, my Kinsman Redeemer. Because of Your love, my debt is paid in full. Thank You for deliverance, restoration, peace, and the incredible joy that fills my house because of You. Let my life overflow with Your love and radiate joy to everyone I meet. Fill every room of my inner house—my mind, body, and spirit—with Your presence, love, and laughter.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
