When My Tears Spoke Louder Than My Voice

There was a day I stood in front of the mirror and didn’t recognize the woman looking back at me.

I wasn’t loud. I didn’t ask God a question. 

But my soul was heavy. My heart was tired. 

And through my tears—without a single word—God heard me.

I didn’t say, “What about me?” 

I just stood there… silent… broken… barely holding on.

And in that sacred silence, God whispered something that changed everything:

“You are worthy. Especially for Me.”

That whisper pierced the shame. 

It broke through the exhaustion. 

It reached the part of me that didn’t even know how to cry out anymore.

I’ve served others. I’ve poured out. 

I’ve helped people finish their assignments, push through their pain, and fulfill their calling—while secretly wondering if mine would ever come to life.

I showed up for others while barely holding myself together. 

I encouraged others while feeling invisible. 

I gave—even when my own cup felt empty.

And perhaps hardest of all… I felt unnoticed by those closest to me. 

Sometimes, even in the very place that should feel like home, I felt like a ghost—present, but unseen.

But even there—God saw me. 

He met me not with guilt or shame, but with a whisper that reminded me I was still His:

“You are worthy. Especially for Me.”

You are worthy—not when you're polished, but even when you’re in pieces. 

You are worthy—not because of what you’ve done, but because of who He is. 

You are worthy—especially for Him.

Scripture: 

“You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?” – Psalm 56:8 (ESV)

Prayer: 

Father, 

Thank You for hearing what I could not say. 

Thank You for seeing beyond my silence and holding my tears. 

Remind me again and again that I am not forgotten, not invisible, not too far behind. 

I am Yours. And in You, I am worthy. 

In Jesus’ name, 

Amen.

Affirmation: 

Even in silence, God sees me. 

Even in brokenness, God chooses me. 

Even in the waiting, I am worthy.
